Character Selection Interface
My artistic passion finds its home in character design and interactive storytelling. I created a character interface menu for a fictitious battle arena combat game. I decided to focus on the selection menu and the character design because I find these aspects the most captivating and personally engaging when I play video games.
Tools:
Utilizing digital tools like Photoshop for character creation and Unreal Engine for interface design.
Goal:
I want to give life to a diverse array of characters that can be seamlessly woven into a coherent world. I aim to kindle a desire in players to interact and explore the characters.

Technical Developments:
UI Widget
I designed a two-page Character User Interface in Unreal Engine using tools like ScrollBox, SizeBox, and Buttons to create an intuitive layout. Page 1, “Character Selection,” features a scrollable list of playable characters with a select button, while Page 2, “Character Stage,” is dedicated to showcasing the abilities and small bio of the selected character.

I implemented interactivity using Blueprints. Enabling button clicks, scroll wheel functionality, and widget changes.
Moving Forward:
Looking ahead, in the far future, I’m interested in extending the exploration of these characters by creating 3D models and potentially making them playable entities. By infusing life into these digital creations, I want to create characters that players want to interact with, embody, and explore the stories and abilities of the characters. Through this immersive experience, I hope to spark a genuine interest in the game.
